BOSTRIA 2009 - Boston to Austria with Boston District Scout Association

Boston District Explorer Scout Unit are traveling from Boston (UK) to Austria in August 2009 to carry out a full 12 day expedition camp never to be forgoten!

During the 12 Days the group of young people will take place in Scouting activities including, Mountaineering, Canyoning and White Water Rafting as well as taking in some local culture with visits to local Scout groups and a visit to the nearby German boarder to visit the Barvarian Castle's. There will also be a tough, difficult and adventurous 2 day mountain Hike to the summit of one of the near by mountains, spending the evening in a high altitude mountain hut, living like the local villagers do in the mountians with the wildlife and spectacular views of the Tyrol region.

Our mission as the 6 Leaders of the expedition is to support and lead a group of a minimum of 15 young people, aged between 14 and 18 on a journey of a lifetime to Tyrol, Austria. This is not a holiday for anyone involved but an educational eperiance, a working challange for all members of the team, a once in a lifetime experiance for everyone involved if they are attending the expedition or just supporting our efforts.

We need to gain 15,000.00 pounds in order for this expedition to take place. Our current fundraising total is --------------------------------------- 1,295.93
